The project called Hoover Dam is located at the border of Arizona and Nevada. Designed to give water and hydroelectric energy to residents of the region, the structure makes use of the power generated by the Colorado River. Real estate Kenny Slaught, based in Santa Barbara, knows how much of an impact the structure had on the population’s access to power and water. Talking about Hoover Dam on his blog at, Slaught says how the project turned many of the nation’s abandoned places into rapid growing centers.
