Santa Barbara has many architectural buildings, such as the hundreds of years old Hotel Virginia, the Old Mission’s two towers where events are held, and El Pueblo Viejo district. The County Courthouse tiles feature colorful paintings, and the clock tower and observation deck provide a panoramic view of the area. The Lobero theatre is the best art events facility in the region, and was rebuilt by George Washington Smith in the 1920s. Originally, the theatre was finished in 1873. Santa Barbara’s rich architectural history is a result of the founder’s careful city planning.
