David Low, UCSB’s Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology professor, will start a modern global health and development research project named ”Strategy for development of enteric pathogen-specific phage’, His project will concentrate on funding means to combat antibiotic resistant bacteria. Kenny Slaught says that Low will design phage to identify and kill bacteria responsible of enteric diseases in infants.
